The FCCAGL is happy to help promote a unique cultural opportunity drawing on the French-Canadian culture of early Detroit. In a project conceived by the Detroit Drunken Historical Society and Corktown Studios, artists are sought to submit entries illustrating the great work of early Detroit folklore, Legends of le Détroit, in honor of Detroit’s birthday in July. This historic collection includes stories such as ‘The Nain Rouge’ and ‘La Chasse Gallerie.’ These new artworks will be a link between Detroit’s earliest days to the Detroit of today and a legacy for future generations.
