Supper. Used in Quebec and Belgium to refer to the evening meal, as opposed to dîner. Among French-speaking Canadians and Québécois the meals of the day are, in order, “déjeuner,” “dîner,” and “souper” as opposed to “petit-déjeuner” (breakfast), “déjeuner” (lunch), and “dîner” (dinner) in France.
